D80 is d best between D64 c9 and 05.... D80 provides super control... Very hight speed very close to D64, works perfectly on close range and far from the table and the spin makes wonders

In reply to <a href="https://www.tt-spin.com/butterfly-dignics-64/#comment-283">Lucian</a>.

Hello Lucian,

I think you should stay with your current rubber. There are too many good aspects about your play with it. I know it is expensive to stay with it, but testing too many rubbers would be worse ;-)

Best regards,

Hello Marcel,
First of all, I have to say that I got here looking for a Dignics 64 review, and your blog captured my attention because every word describing this rubber matches my thoughts as well.
I have played with it for a year on my backhand side on the 1.9 mm and glued it into a Butterfly Innerforce ALC S (soft and flexy blade). I was looking for something harder after coming from Genius( very pleasant to play – but somehow lacks in finishing strokes).
After a year of playing with it (~2 times a week), it became a bit mushy so I tried to find something similar but it’s quite hard.
I tried Tenergy 80 (1.9 mm) but it was too bouncy especially on the short game, ELS was fine but to soft for my taste.
I conclude that something similar would be MXS but you really need to engage the sponge to generate more spin otherwise it has medium rotation. Also in backhand to backhand game lacks a bit of power compared to D64.
Also, try MXD – which is very spiny and powerful – but my blade becomes too head heavy, ALC.S blade has 90 grams and paired with mxs and mxd (both 1.9) i have a 192-gram setup.
I think i cannot replace the Dignics 64 feeling where I could do anything with it – even cutting as a defender worked :))
P.S not to mention that it comes in 43 grams when cut.
What are your thoughts about alternatives?
Thanks,
Lucian

Hello,
I played with Dignics 64 on both FH and BH with its maximum thickness.
I totally agreed with your assessment of the Dignics 64.
You are my best coach in advising uses of the butterfly rubbers.
Thank you
