I have some questions if I can benefit from your knowledge, it’s rare to find someone with this knowledge, analytic capacity, and great expressivity!

I’m 46yo, I’m playing from the age of 12 from time to time with big interruptions, I have had played with Srivers mounted on Stiga Allround, than in 2020 I was curious to try something more actual and I took 2 Rozena and put them on a Butterfly Innerforce ALC.S blade, I have felt a huge gap but after a couple of weeks of adaptation I was happy with them, mostly to play with friends at home for the summer, than I took a pause until one month ago when I decided to start playing in a club, my teacher saw my 2 rackets and asked me to use the slower stiga all with Sriver for my level (I admit I was quite rusty)… I was a little discouraged to return back to them and sincerely after a month I already feel that I’m bottoming out the subtle sponge(1.8mm probably) and that those Sriver are almost surely slowing down my progression
Now, after 3 weeks of research and have read thousand rubber reviews on revspin I’m in doubt if buy again 2 new Rozena 2.1mm or go for something easier half way between Sriver and Rozena…(mostly because at the club are all playing faster than me) for the moment the only very well regarded alternative I have found is the Xiom Vega Europe
Finally my question to you, which could be other equally great rubbers alternatives with performance between Vega Europe and Rozena?
sorry if I took long to describe my condition, but I understood that it’s all that make a difference choosing a rubber…

I used several blades. Like Butterfly Primorac, Tibhar Shang Kun Hybrid AC. Later Harimoto ALC.

I know this rubber, but I haven’t tested DHS rubbers to the point that I can provide you a good answer.

It is planned to review DHS rubbers in the future in more detail. Maybe then I can compare it.

Thanks a lot for a great review, what blade did you use? Have you ever played with DHS GoldArc8? Another cheap high quality rubber.

One of the players at my club who played with both told me he could not tell them apart, they were so similar. And some parts of your review ring the bell as well, especially the difference between short play and hard hitting.

GoldArc 8 is also quite spinny and fast, but it’s not overly sensitive to incoming spin, easy to play to my estimate. If Vega X has similar sensitivity to GoldArc 8, then I’m absolutely fine with it.

Vega X is harder and faster than Hexer Powergrip. Control depends on the point of view. With Vega X you have a more steady trajectory and feel. Hexer Powergrip has more catapult and explodes suddenly. In passive game, both rubbers are sensitive to spin. But Hexer Powergrip gives you more liveliness and supports wrong racket angles a little better. On the other hand, Vega X is more precise.

andro Hexer Powergrip is softer and should give you more catapult to work with. So it is a little easier to create spin. Vega X has a higher ceiling. On medium effort strokes the Vega X should have already overcome the HPG. But that depends on what a medium effort stroke is to you 😉
