I have always been a attacking player, looping off both wings, lots of movement. I am now eighty years old and been diagnosed with terminal Bowel Cancer. ( you must be wondering why I'm contacting you ??? ). Well, I would like to carry on playing for as long as possible but given my condition my current style would be too energetic. So, my idea would be to become a blocker but with inverted pips and a very soft sponge /rubber which would still make me feel I am attacking. I have a number of blades in the house but if you thik that a particular rubber is well suited to a particular blade please tell me. I hope you can offer me some advice, Many Thanks. John Spencer.

Hi, my name is Nick Christofi and 50 years ago I played a very good game regardless of rubbers and as good a player as those in your video regardless of bats that I used, I’d even beat most players using a bat without rubbers. I’m 67 and 80% retired and recently joined a club using my AK47 bat with Palio rubbers that my sons got me for Christmas and found getting my back hand going no problem at all but very difficult getting my forehand going as I couldn’t get any control and or direction as I would either over hit the ball length ways and width ways or hit it into the net whereas 50 years ago I’d leave the ball to dip lower than the table (showing off) and smash it anywhere I wanted to place it, I’d even hit the top of the net on purpose for it to still go over and likewise I’d purposely hit the side of the table where it was impossible for it to be returned so returning to this beautiful game has been very frustrating until my coach gave me his bats with MXP and FXP rubbers yesterday and thank God I’ve starting to feel “human” again as I started to play decently again. Can you please advise me as to where I can buy bats with MXP & FXP rubbers as I’d like one of each. Thank you.
