Thanks, I think that is an excellent review and spot on in your assessment. I’ve been using Glayzer for about 6 months now having progressed from rozena. The rozena was perfect as I was starting out but moving to Glayzer gave much more precision in pushes, blocks and counters and helped me develop better technique, especially for top spin. I’m loving it right now.

Hi John,

I don't think that these rubbers are good comparison rubbers in general. For me, Rakza 7 is more like a Tibhar Genius, which is faster and spinier than Butterfly Glayzer. X, Z and especially Rakza XX are way faster and more demanding than the Glayzer rubber.

Best regards,
Marcel

Hi Oliver,

in a way the Glayzer is a tamed version of the Dignics rubbers and comparable to the 80 version in terms of trajectory. And yes, a little softer, slower and easier to control.

But it is at least two steps down, because you have the Tenergys in between these rubbers. And like I tried to explain within my review, a rubber with a performance little less than Tenergy and even more with the Dignics rubbers.

Best regards,
Marcel

Is this in anyway similar to dignics 80? Or dignics 80 is harder, faster and harder to control compared to glayzer?

In reply to <a href="https://www.tt-spin.com/butterfly-glayzer/#comment-297">Tom</a>.

Hi Tom,

in comparison, the Hexer Powergrip has more spin, speed and way more catapult. The arc is higher. The touch is more indirect and softer. In terms of performance, HPG is a high end product compared to the Glayzer being a step or two behind. Glayzer is more comparable to high end low catapult rubbers, while still being easier to play.

The only thing the Grip and Glayzer have in common is the medium high arc. But other than that, it is hard to find similarities.

Best regards,
Marcel
